Pheasant Hunting

As I was heading home today from a brief outing I came upon this beautiful bird hunting for food (I assume) under the snow. Fortunately, this was taking place off a side road that is lightly travelled so I was able to stop for some pictures.  I stayed in the car, rolled the window down on the passenger side and fired away.  Though he looked straight at me several times, he just kept doing whatever it was he was doing.  And yes, as the pictures suggest, it was overcast and very grey outside but the temperature was 47 degrees so was quite pleasant.
